Dear families,
We had a ton of fun this morning during a brief sharing assembly this morning where we came together as a school to listen to Mrs. Westgate read a story about problem-solving, perseverance and friendship. It was short and sweet but gave us a chance to be together and see everyone’s smiling faces. Most importantly, it also allowed us to reconnect as a school and prioritize community-building and well-being in a fun way.
Have a safe Halloween for those who are participating this evening! And hopefully we will be celebrating a Blue Jays championship when we return next week! Go Blue Jays!
Remembrance Day Assembly: We invite the families of West Springs School to join us as we gather to remember the men and women who have sacrificed their lives and those who are presently impacted by war and/or peace missions.
Students who are in Guides or Scouts are invited to wear their uniforms to school. Poppies will be given before the assembly, and students may bring a donation to contribute towards the Poppy Fund.

Parking: Please do not park in front of the school for any reason at any time. We have more buses this year and the double crosswalk is busy intersection. Please use our Hug and Go instead. DO NOT jaywalk!
Lifetouch: Picture retakes have been re-scheduled for Monday, December 1. M/W Kindergarten class photos will also be taken on this date.

WSSDA Casino News
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up for our upcoming casino on November 13, 14, 17 & 18, 2025, at Cowboys Casino and Elbow River Casino
Our casino is only 2 weeks away, and we are still in need of many volunteers! There are 30 shifts left to fill plus backup spots in case someone cannot make their scheduled shift.
Volunteers can be parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or other family members and friends over the age of 18. Please reach out to your circle — every set of hands makes a big difference!
If we do not fill our spots we risk losing our casino. This casino is the largest fundraiser of the year and directly supports programs, resources, and opportunities for all students at West Springs School.

- December 1 Lifetouch re-scheduled retake date. Monday/Wednesday kindergarten students will have group photo as well
