Dear Families
Thank you for attending our Drumfit celebration of film and fitness! We had a lovely assembly today where Mrs. Westgate shared a story about Winter Solstice. We want to extend our heartfelt wishes for a safe, restful and joyful holiday season. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, January 6th 2025!
The office will close today at 1:15 pm and will re-open on the 6th at 8:30 am.
Dress for the Weather
Remember to dress warmly, we will play outside for fresh air and exercise unless the temperature dips below –20 degrees with the windchill. Stay tuned for details about the Polar Bear Club in January.
Winter Solstice
To mark the Winter Solstice on December 21st, Elder Saa’kokoto’s (A Blackfoot Elder) teachings remind us that this is a significant day in Blackfoot tradition as it represents the start of a new year. It is a time for reflection, to appreciate what has transpired during the past year, the lessons that have been learned, and to set new intentions for the time to come. What are your family’s new year traditions?
