Dear families,

This week was a busy one at West Springs School. We welcomed the Fall Equinox, participated in our annual Terry Fox Run, and recognized Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day today. The assembly this morning was a time for students, staff and visitors to reflect on the message that Every Child Matters and the importance of our collective journey in education and in our lives for ReconciliACTION. Thank you to everyone who joined us.  Together we watched this video from CBC Kids and sang this song together Waniska

Donations needed

In preparation for the wet weather season, we are looking for like-new clothing donations in various sizes, especially unisex bottoms such as sweatpants or leggings, to lend to students when they may need them.

Yearbooks

All West Springs yearbooks have now been handed out (yearbooks for last year’s grade four students will go to West Ridge next week) - if you haven’t received one, please alert the office. There are a few left to purchase if you missed out, contact the office for more information.
