Week at a Glance - January 12th

Happy New Year West Springs Families!

We hope you were able to enjoy the time away from school to connect with family and friends during the winter break.

TREX Travelling Art Exhibit

Although it was too cold to play outside, we’re back to great learning experiences inside.  We are hosting a special art exhibition from Alberta Foundation for the Arts Traveling Art Exhibition. This Exhibition provides the opportunity to enjoy visual art exhibitions in their community, including educational support material to help educators integrate the visual arts into the school curriculum. All students will have a chance to visit the photographs and wooden sculptures over the next week.

Be Dressed for the Weather

We look forward to warmer temperatures next week, however families are reminded to prepare and take extra caution during the winter months and periods of extreme weather.  Children must always be dressed for the weather.  We do not go outside if the temperature is colder than -20 (including wind chill) however warm clothing and proper footwear is imperative should there be an emergency.

Kindergarten and new student registration for all grades

Registration opens on Monday, January 15th. Registrations done through the CBE School Engage portal between January 15th and February 13th at noon will be included if our school must perform a lottery.   https://cbe.ab.ca/registration/registration/Pages/new-students.aspx
