On Monday September 25, at 2:30 PM all students in grades K-4 will be taking part in the annual Terry Fox School Run. Morning Kindergarten students will have their own run Tuesday September 26th at 10:30 AM. Students are encouraged to wear West Springs clothing or colors that day (dark and light blue). Parents are welcome and encouraged to come to the assembly and run with their students during this event.  

 

Students will have the opportunity to discuss the heroic efforts of Terry Fox over the next few weeks and raise much needed funds for cancer research. 

 

Last year West Springs School raised a record amount of $4076.00. Once again, West Springs School will be participating in a “Try Like Terry” challenge. Our fundraising goal this year is $3500, If we meet our fundraising goal, West Springs School staff will perform a lip sync/air band battle for students!!

We will be encouraging students to bring a “Toonie for Terry,” but any amount of donation is appreciated. Online donations of $20.00 or more are automatically receipted. Cheques and cash will both be accepted. Please make any cheques payable to The Terry Fox Foundation. All monies raised will be forwarded to The Terry Fox Foundation.
