There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. Ways to give to our school include:

Monetary (cash) Donation
  • I wish to receive a tax receipt for my donation. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 or more.
    • Visit the EducationMatters online donation webpage to make a donation. (Preferred donation method)
    • Write a cheque payable to EducationMatters  (all one word) and include the name of our school and the specific program, activity or item you want your donation to support in the 'memo' section. Give the cheque to the school or mail it to: EducationMatters, 1221 8 Street SW Calgary, AB T2R 0L4
  • I do not wish to receive a tax receipt for my donation
    • ​Write a cheque made payable to Calgary Board of Education  and include the name of our school and the specific program, activity or item you want your donation to support in the 'memo' section. Give the cheque to the school.
In-kind donations of school supplies or equipment

WSSDA Fundraising News – May 19th

 Hello West Springs Families! We have a few updates to share.

 Fun Fair – Thursday June 11, 3:30 – 6:00pm
Our most anticipated event of the year is back, featuring Sportball activities, DJ, Crafts, Foodtrucks and more!

  • Tickets for Fun Fair are available through Healthy Hunger.
  • Quantities are limited and door sales will be weather dependent, so grab your tickets early!

We have excited to have Kona Snow Cones back again this year! Visit the following link to pre order your snow cones. 20% of the sales will be kicked back to our school. The pre-pay window will close at 5:00pm on June 10. For anyone that misses the chance to pre-purchase, cash for digital payment will be available at the truck the day of the event.

 Art Cards

We have reopened the Art Card orders for anyone who missed the deadline. You can place your order until May 24th.

 Fun Lunch:

Our final Fun Lunch of the year is scheduled for May 28 (Mon/Wed Kindergarten May 27). Your order must be placed by this Saturday May 23 via Healthy Hunger. 

 We are looking for volunteers to help during our Fun Lunch, including a volunteer to help with the Mon/Wed Kindergarten lunch. The time commitment is less than one hour starting at 12:10pm on Thursday (12:40pm on Wednesday Fun Lunch days). All volunteers must have their vulnerable sector check security clearance with our school. If you are interested in volunteering, you can sign up here.

 Sports Day

We are looking for volunteers to hand out freezies on June 22. You can sign up here.
