Dear West Springs Families,
We celebrated our Kindergarten learners this week – we are so proud of them for singing in front of students and families for their first time ever presenting a Sharing Assembly.
Grade 3 students spent an incredible day of learning at the zoo, thank you to all the volunteers. Have you ever seen a polar bear swim? Later in the week they participated in a mobile escape room challenge. Grade 2 students spent an incredible day of learning at Granary Road and we had some awesome art lessons in Grade 1. Your child should have brought home their creations so please check backpacks if you haven’t seen them already! It was a busy week!
Thank you to all the parents and guardians who volunteered their time this week to make all these special activities such a success.
Outstanding school fees - Please be sure to check your MyCBE account for outstanding fees. We have many families who have yet to pay for field trips and activities that have already taken place. Call the office if you need support with these fee payments.
Bike Safety – please remind your children to keep their helmets on while riding to and from school as well as stopping at the crosswalk to look carefully to ensure the cars have stopped.

Hello West Springs Parents,
I hope that you've had a good week! As of this week I'm back full-time at WSS.
Here are a few learning highlights from each grade:
Grade 1: Djembe drumming, working on singing technique.
Grade 2: Djembe drumming, singing, listening to and starting to learn about Stevie Wonder
Grade 3: Djembe drumming, singing, listening to and starting to learn about Earth, Wind & Fire
Grade 4: Ukulele skills, including building confidence and proper technique when playing C, F, and A minor chords.
